I cut leaf shapes out of an A4 piece of paper and laid the cut out shapes on top of my fabric, i placed a silk screen over the top and used an orange poly print dye to produce my first layer, i then moved my stencils around and again placed my silk screen over the top before using pink poly print dyes to create the second layer of my print, this method of moving my stencils and applying a new poly print dye continued with the colours blue, yellow and red. I wanted to create a final layer over the top of all my dyes and decided to move my stencils one more time, i then used a dark green poly print over the top to make it stand out as the colours underneath were bright, the result of my experimenting is shown in my photograph above, this print reminds me of camouflage and could work well as part of my tropical forest collection however i would edit it slightly using photoshop etc.
