Ceramics: Press Moulds

First half of press moulds.
Once the plaster poured over each of my forms had dried i removed all wooden planks and cleaned them up, i then added small notches into all four corners of each plaster block, these notches will later make it easier for my second half of my moulds to fit precicely together.

Complted plaster press moulds.
After creating the first part of my moulds i soft soaped each one three times and used the same wooden planks to create a barrier around each mould, i then mixed another 1.5lbs of plaster with one pint of water untill the consistanscy was just right to pour onto each mould. Once my moulds had set i again removed all wooden planks and seperated each mould before cleaning them up leaving me with smooth moulds as shown in my photograph above.
