Ceramics: Samples



Clay Forms.

For my second collection of samples i again clustered small balls of clay varying in size, but this time i decided not to smooth over or in between each connecting ball, I like this second collection of samples simply because each form looks like it has been made to into a typical cloud shape which connects well with my research.

Using my visual research and sketches i created another sample, i again created a cloud like form by clustering multiple balls together, but this time i used a ceramic knife to cut the tops of each clustered ball and hollowed them out, this design was inspired by the circles found on an octopus's tentacles and i feel it gives a very unique twist to my previous samples.
