Textiles: Contextual Research
I have recently come across a contemporary textiles designer named Zoe Beck who's work revolves around the idea of travel and the worlds cities. I love how Zoe uses her research on cities to create bright flashing imagery for her textile designs and i can see a connection between Zoe's city imagery and my current neon themed prints. Zoe not only creates her designs using digital printing but she also adapts them to interior products such as pillows, lamp shades etc which is what i aim to do eventually with my own finished textile prints, i like how the city images on each item are really abstract and broken apart but still distinguishable and i also feel the bold colours she uses are really striking and compliment eachother well.
