Paper Stencils.

I created a large number of rectangular shaped paper stencils in a range of sizes and used light blue, black and yellow disperse dyes to paint on each individual stencil, i then placed my stencils face down onto my fabric in a layered fashion and placed it under the heat press, this experiment created a city block looking design which i felt i could edit further. I used the same paper stencils and again painted them all using black, yellow and blue disperse dyes, these were then placed randomly over the top of the first layer of my design as shown in the photo above, once my second layer of stencils had been placed under the heat press the print below was produced.
