Tropical Spider.

When looking at my tropical forest visual research i thought it would be a good idea to play around with the prints found on the back of tropical spiders or even the webs produced by them to create my own tropical forest style prints. To produce the print shown below i began by cutting a small piece of yellow fabric which had been dyed in the dye baths previously, i placed it under the heat press and added string on top as i felt it would create a spider web effect under my dyes, i then placed pieces of ripped paper covered in black disperse dye on top of my string before closing the heat press, i deliberately used black dye onto my yellow fabric as i liked the contrast in colours shown on the images of the tropical spiders.
