Textiles: Experimenting

I created another direct dye background using the colours pink and lime green, this time i added two small pieces of pink fabric which had been previously dyed in the dye baths on top to see how all three pink shades would look with my design on them, i used black pigment dye to over ride all the colours which had been used on my silk screen previously and found it to work well with the colour pink.

I found a left over direct dye print which i had created consisting of numerous colours, i felt it needed working into and decided to use the last bit of my manutex design left on my silk screen to create my last possible print. The photo above shows the results of my experiment, i chose to use black pigment dye as all the colours used underneath were bright, i like how each time a new print is produce the manutex falls of bit by bit making each print produced slightly different.
