Textiles: Experimenting

I decided to create a blue and pink background by applying direct dyes onto me piece of fabric using a sponge, i then placed my silk screen containing my manutex design face down onto my fabric before placing a small amount of yellow and black pigment dye left over from my previous mono print onto the screen creating the print shown above.

Using blue and green direct dyes i created another background to be used under my silk screen using a sponge, i placed my fabric under my screen that i had not cleaned and added a slight amount of red pigment dye to create my print pictured above. The red dye seemed to mix with the left over yellow dye left on the screen creating an orange tint to my print, this particular print seems to remind me of a tiger print giving of a jungle vibe.
